Your Privacy, Simply Explained
We know privacy policies are usually a pain to read. Here’s ours, in plain language, so you actually know what’s going on.
The short version
We collect a little information to run HASMART&CO smoothly — mainly your email and some basic data about how you use our site. We never sell your data. We only use it where we’re allowed to, including with your consent when that’s required, and you can always ask us to delete it.
What we collect
When you sign up or use our site, we collect:
- Your email address, if you give it to us
- Basic technical info — your IP address, browser, and device type
- How you use the site — pages visited, time spent, that kind of thing
That’s it. We’re not asking for more than we need.
Cookies, in plain English
Cookies are small files that help the site remember who you are and how you like things set up. We only use the “extra” ones with your okay — essential ones (the kind that let you log in) are on by default because the site can’t work without them.
| Cookie | What it does |
|---|---|
| Essential | Lets you log in and browse securely |
| Preferences | Remembers your cookie choice and settings |
| Functionality | Remembers things like your language or login details |
You’re in control — change cookie settings anytime in your browser.
Why we use your info
- To keep the site running and improve it
- To manage your account
- To process any order or contract with you
- To send you important updates (and offers, only if you’ve said yes)
- To answer your questions and requests
We never use your data for anything beyond this.
Who sees your info
We share data only when it’s necessary — never to sell it:
Trusted service providers Affiliated companies A buyer, if we’re ever acquired With your okayIf you post something publicly on our site, anyone can see that — just like you’d expect.
Text messages
If you opt in to texts, we’ll message you about support, account alerts, deliveries, passcodes, security, and occasionally promotions. We never sell your number. Reply STOP anytime to opt out, or HELP for support. Standard message and data rates may apply.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we actually need it — typically up to 24 months after your account closes or your last activity, then we delete or anonymize it. We may hold onto some data longer only if the law requires it, or to resolve a dispute.
Your rights, your call
It’s your data. You can view, correct, or delete it anytime — just reach out to us or check your account settings if you have one. The only exception is if we’re legally required to keep something.
Keeping things secure
We take real steps to protect your data, but no system connected to the internet is ever 100% unbreakable — so we can’t promise perfection, only that we take it seriously.
Tools we use
We use Google Places to help with location lookups. It may collect some info from you for security purposes — see Google’s Privacy Policy for details.
A note for younger visitors
Our site isn’t meant for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect info from kids that age. If you’re a parent and think your child shared info with us, just let us know and we’ll remove it right away.
Links to other sites
Sometimes we link out to other websites. Once you leave ours, their own privacy rules apply — we’d recommend giving those a quick look too.
If this policy changes
If we update this policy, you’ll see the new version here with a fresh “last updated” date. For anything major, we’ll also email you or post a notice on the site beforehand.
